Ruth Terry

      Ruth Joan Terry, age 91, passed away on Oct. 13, 2020, in Tulsa, OK. She was born April 3, 1929, to Isaac T. and Virginia (Hamilton) Harrell at Dill City, OK. Ruth was the youngest of 10 children.

     She attended Port and Sentinel schools. She married John Monroe (J.M.) Terry on July 8, 1944, in Hobart. They were married more than 69 years.

     Ruth farmed and ran Terry’s Electric, Heat and Air, in Hobart, with her husband for many years. She later worked at Cora’s Fashions, Elkview Hospital, and retired from Walmart after more than 20 years of service.

     Ruth loved her family and enjoyed people. She loved to laugh and visit. She resided at the Baptist Village of Owasso where she was active, and represented her building at the monthly council meetings, and made many friends there.

     She is survived by her son, Larry Terry and wife Sharon, of Tulsa, and her daughter, Rhonda Davis and husband Don, also of Tulsa; four grandsons: Jonathan Terry and wife Carrie of California; David Terry of Washington; Sean Davis and wife Katie, of Colorado; and Kyle Davis and wife Lorena of New Mexico; and three great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.

     Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, husband J.M., four brothers and five sisters. No service is planned at this time.
